Speichererweiterung kickt /tmp???

Hallo alle zusammen,

gestern habe ich den Hauptspeicher meines Notebooks von 512MB auf 1GB
erweitert :-)). Nach dem Einschalten dann die Ernüchterung: Sobald ich
bestimmte Anwendungen starte, kommen "disk full-Fehler". Ein df zeigt, daß
/tmp ca. 500MB nur noch -404kB "frei" hat.
Ist das ein normales Verhalten?
