Hmmh, habe laenger damit nichts gebastelt..

Nur mal schnell zur Einleitung und als Aufhaenger die Einleitung von
Stevens "TCP/IP Illustrated", Kap. 16, BOOTP:

There are two problems with RARP:(1) the only thing returned is the IP
address, and (2) since RARP uses a link-layer broadcast, RARP requests are
not forwarded by routers.. This chapter describes an _alternative_ method
for a diskless system to bootstrap itself, called the Bootstrap protocol,
or BOOTP.

Also ohne RARP, wuerde ich hier sagen, oder?
