Das klingt fast so, als wenn das BIOS Deiner Graphikkarte
einen Bug hat. Vielleicht ist da im Flash/Eeprom ein Bit
gekippt oder so.

Das ist natürlich nur Spekulation, aber wenn Du unter BSD
und Windows den gleichen Effekt hast, dann gibt das schon
etwas zu denken.
