Hast Du mal irgendwas anderes probiert, um auf das Band zu
schreiben? Gibt das den gleichen Fehler?

Zum Beispiel: tar cf /dev/nrsa0 /etc
oder: dump 0af /dev/nrsa0 /
oder: dd if=/kernel of=/dev/nrsa0 bs=10k

Vielleicht mußt Du auch mit mt erstmal eine bestimmte
Blocksize setzen? Ich habe kein MLR und weiß daher nicht,
ob das eine bestimmte haben möchte, daher ist das jetzt
nur ins Blaue geraten.
