Woher weißt Du das? Die man page sagt:

        bit 6: activate IRQ (1 IRQ disabled, 0 IRQ enabled)

Ich hab's noch nicht verstanden, was?

Danke. Hab' nur eins dieser Art gelesen -- Leheys `Complete FreeBSD'.
Ist aber kein `Computerbuch' nach Deiner Definition. Zahlensysteme
sind für Philosophen jedenfalls nicht unbedingt von primärem
Interesse...

stimmt also nicht mehr mit dem obigen überein, "echot" aber immer

Auf beiden Rechnern läuft 3.2-RELEASE.

Könnte es daran liegen, daß die man page die SYNOPSIS mit

        controller ppc0 at isa? port? tty irq 7
        For one or more PPBUS busses:
        controller ppbus at ppc0

angibt, während LINT und GENERIC, wie ich oben,

        controller ppbus0
        device ppc0 at isa? port? tty irq 7

benutzen? Ich werd's mal probieren...
