And if the quote customisations could be changed locally in
freebsd.dsl for each language as well, `patch-common_dbl1de.dsl'
wouldn't be needed at all, which is indeed another good thing.

I built the german FAQ using

  /usr/local/share/sgml/docbook/dsssl/modular/common/dbl1de.dsl
    patched with patch-common_dbl1de.dsl (unpatched)

and another time using

  /usr/local/share/sgml/docbook/dsssl/modular/common/*.dsl
    patched with patch-ab

  freebsd.dsl(*)

  /usr/local/share/sgml/docbook/dsssl/modular/common/dbl1de.dsl
    patched with patch-common_dbl1de.dsl(*).

the resulting book.html files don't differ.
