Zylinder 1024 und boot loader

Tag allerseits,

kurze Frage, bevor ich es ausprobieren muß:

Gibt es das Problem beim Booten eine FreeBSD in Zylindernummer > 1024
noch?

Es geht um den Standard-Bootmanager, es steht in der Doku noch drin,
aber auch mit Bezug auf ältere BIOSse. Der Rechner ist nicht so neu,
aber schon Sockel AM2(+?) und es geht um eine SATA-Platte.
