http://www.zimbra.com/products/microsoft-outlook-thunderbird-email-client.html
meint, es waere MAPI:
Zimbra Connector for Microsoft Outlook:
- Email, contacts, calendar, and tasks natively sync via MAPI

Gefunden have ich auch:
http://forums.serverwatch.com/archive/index.php/t-16427.html

MAPI clients connect to port 135 and are then randomly assigned two
ports to communicate with the information store and directory

Allerdings bekomme ich auf TCP-Port 135 nur ein "Connection refused". Hmmh.

Nach
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Messaging_Application_Programming_Interface
MAPI
"is usually used with MAPI/RPC, the proprietary protocol that
Microsoft Outlook uses to communicate with Microsoft Exchange."

Auf dem Zimbraserver laeuft der Portmapper:

# rpcinfo -p
    program vers proto port
     100000 2 tcp 111 portmapper
     100000 2 udp 111 portmapper
     100024 1 udp 885 status
     100024 1 tcp 888 status

Bin also noch nicht wirklich schlauer..

Es gruesst
Peter
