Wie neu sollte das Bios sein?

Genauso wollte ich den Server nutzten. Jetzt liegt er hier, und macht
leider Ärger. Und zwar ganz merkwürdigen:
ich kann von der CDROM (V6.1) booten und die Festplatte (SATA) mounten,
ein Betriebssystem installieren, dann aber nicht von diesem booten!
Kann sich das jemand erklären? Ich probiere schon seit Tagen, was es sein
kann.
