mySQL-Backup?

Hallo,

ich stehe vor dem Problem, dass ich einen neues Backup-System für
einen mySQL-Server austüfteln darf. Seitdem ich das System von 4.0
auf 4.1 updaten musste mag 'mysqlhotcopy' nicht mehr und 'mysqldump'
frisst mir (auch wenns nur kurzfristig ist) zu viel Plattenplatz. Was
noch wichtig ist, das Backup muss während des laufenden Betriebs
sicher funktionieren.

Gibts da vielleicht was fertiges in den Ports? Ich konnte leider
nichts entdecken.
