Cronjob schreiben, der zu einer bestimmten Uhrzeit (z.B.
5:00 morgens) die PPP-Verbindung kontrolliert resettet und
den ntpd restartet. Es sollte auch per ppp.linkup-Skript
gehen.

Oder einen Provider nehmen, der keine 24h-Zwangstrennung
hat (QSC, M"net und andere), sofern verfügbar. ;-)

ntpdate ist obsolete. Besser ntpdate nicht verwenden, und
stattdessen ntpd mit der Option -g starten.
