Crontab HOME

Hi,

Ich habe eine Frage zu der HOME Variable crontab:
Warum ist HOME beim root crontab per Voreinstellung auf /var/log und nicht auf /root. Ich musste das aus verschiedenen Gründen bei
mir ändern, und bin mir jetzt nicht sicher, um ich nicht etwas dummes getan habe ;) Hat das negative Auswirkungen auf irgendetwas?
