Für die Konsole folgendes in /etc/rc.conf eintragen:

        font8x16="iso-8x16.fnt"
        font8x14="iso-8x14.fnt"
        font8x8="iso-8x8.fnt"
        keymap="german.iso"

In /etc/ttys ein Eintrag "cons25" in "cons25l1" ändern:

        ttyv0 "/usr/libexec/getty Pc" cons25l1 on secure
        ttyv1 "/usr/libexec/getty Pc" cons25l1 on secure
        ttyv2 "/usr/libexec/getty Pc" cons25l1 on secure
        ttyv3 "/usr/libexec/getty Pc" cons25l1 on secure
        ttyv4 "/usr/libexec/getty Pc" cons25l1 on secure
        ttyv5 "/usr/libexec/getty Pc" cons25l1 on secure
        ttyv6 "/usr/libexec/getty Pc" cons25l1 on secure
        ttyv7 "/usr/libexec/getty Pc" cons25l1 on secure

In die Startdatei der Shell deines Vertrauens die $LANG auf
"de_DE.ISO8859-1" setzen.

Für X in /etc/X11/XF86Config:

        Section "InputDevice"
                Identifier "Keyboard0"
                Driver "keyboard"
                Option "XkbRules" "xfree86"
                Option "XkbModel" "pc105"
                Option "XkbLayout" "de"
                Option "XkbVariant" "nodeadkeys"
        EndSection

Und für KDE im Kontrollzentrum eventuell noch den Zeichensatz
einstellen.

So, das müßte es eigentlich gewesen sein. Hoffe, ich habe nichts
vergessen.
