... dazu sagt eines der hier herumliegenden Handbücher:

"This item allows you to enable APIC (Advanced Programable Interrupt
Controller) functionality. APIC is an Intel chip that provides symmetric
multiprocessing (SMP) for its Pentium systems. ..."

Was das _bedeutet_, nun ja ... ;)
