Hi Felipe,
versuche doch mal dein X11 mit

# XFree86 --configure

zu konfigurieren und schreibe die Screen Sektion mal wie folgt:

Section "Screen"
Identifier "Screen0"
Device "Card0"
Monitor "Monitor0"
DefaultDepth 24
SubSection "Display"
Depth 24
Modes "1280x1024"
EndSubSection

Ich bin kein X Experte, aber ein Versuch ist es wert.
Ich konnte mein X auch nicht manuell konfigurieren. Erst nach der automatischen
Konfiguration ist es gestartet. Grafikkarte war in diesem Fall eine ImageAccel 4 PCI.
