Piomode beim Systemstart setzen

Guten Morgen

Ich habe seit einem Update des Systems auf 4.6 RC das Problem, dass der
Kernel meinen IDE Brenner im Piomode 3 startet. Da das Geraet, meines
erachtens, aber nur stabil im Piomode 2 laeuft, wuerde ich ganz gern dies
schon waehrend des Systemstarts festlegen. Wie mache ich das? Die
sysctl-Variable hw.atamodes gibt es ja nicht mehr und die Manpages sind noch
nicht angepasst worden.
