Hallo Thomas,

kann es sein, dass das (mir unbekannte) Programm nicht als Linux-Binary
erkannt wird und darum auch nicht in den compat-Directories gesucht wird?

Beispiel hier gerade (sorry, ist immer noch FreeBSD 3.4), wie man das
rausfindet:

$ brandelf /usr/local/Acrobat3/Reader/intellinux/bin/acroread
File '/usr/local/Acrobat3/Reader/intellinux/bin/acroread' is of brand
'Linux'.
$ brandelf /usr/local/bin/9menu
File '/usr/local/bin/9menu' is of brand 'FreeBSD'.

brandelf kann auch zum "Einpraegen" des Linuxstempels verwendet werden.
