Ausgabeumlenkung und time

Hallo da draußen!

Ich möchte auf einem Server ein Kommando ausführen
und dessen Dauer bestimmen. Die Ausgabe des Kommandos
und die Ausgabe von time sollen möglichst in einer
Mail stehen.

Im Moment passiert dies:

/usr/local/sbin/fetchnews 2>&1 | mail -s "fetchnews report" marc

wenn ich time davor setze, wird mir nur dessen
Ausgabe zugemailt.

Wie mach' Ich's richtig ;-) ?
