Für Forwarding gibt's eine Option rc.conf, siehe dort.
Für Firewall gibt's den IPFW (gibt's manpages zu),
außerdem interessierst Du Dich evtl. für NAT (Network
Adress Translation; Linux nennt dies »Masquerading«).

Damit solltest Du erstmal weiterkommen. :)

Im FreeBSD-Handbook gibt's übrigens auch Stoff dazu.
