Re: ftpd und No buffer space available?

Erstmal danke für die Antwort, aber ich bin immer noch etwas ratlos...
Ich habe zwar keine lokale manpage zu tuning, aber das hier im Netz
gefunden:

sysctls are of particular interest if you are running network intensive
applications. This controls the amount of send and receive buffer space
allowed for any given TCP connection. The default is 16K. You can often
improve bandwidth utilization by increasing the default at the cost of
eating up more kernel memory for each connection. We do not recommend
increasing the defaults if you are serving hundreds or thousands of
simultaneous connections because it is possible to quickly run the system
out of memory due to stalled connections building up

Also, wenn ich mir mit sysctl -a meine Settings ansehe, dann sind meine
buffer so groß:

net.inet.tcp.sendspace: 65536
net.inet.tcp.recvspace: 65536

Ich kann mir eigentlich nicht vorstellen, dass das nicht reichen sollte. Die
Dateien, die per ftp übertragen werden liegen im MB-Bereich und der
Webserver ist auch längst nicht am Anschlag.
So gesehen müsste dieser Fehler ja bei jeder zweiten FreeBSD-Installation
auftreten, oder? Außerdem wird es ja nicht empfohlen diese Werte
hochzusetzen. Mhm, was nun?
