  cdrecord dev=<...> install-i386.iso

wobei das "<...>" SCSI-Bus, -ID und -LUN deines Brenners angeben,
also z.B. "dev=0,4,0", s. auch "man cdrecord".

Bei mir auch nicht. Nero und WinOnCD laufen auch nicht. Das mag
aber daran liegen, dass ich kein Wine oder VMWare benutze.
