Hallo Liste

Ich habe mein Kernel-Problem lösen können. Vielen dank allen, die mir dabei
geholfen haben ganz besonders Andreas Braukmann. Nun habe ich noch ein
weiteres Kernel-Problem mit PostgreSQL. Ich habe PostreSQL mit der Option
maxbackends=128 kompiliert. Wenn ich versuche postmaster mit mehr als 45
Backends zu starten, erhalte ich die Fehlermeldung:

IpcSemaphoreCreate: semget failed (No space left on device) key=5432017,
num=16, permission=600

Die Manual Page von Postmaster sagt dazu:

If you see this message, you should run the ipcclean command. After
doing this, try starting postmaster again. If this still doesn't work,
you probably need to configure your kernel for shared memory and semaphores
as described in the installation notes. You may have to reconfigure your
kernel to increase its shared memory or semaphore parameters. (You may be
able to postpone reconfiguring your kernel by reducing -B to reduce
Postgres' shared memory consumption, or by reducing -N to reduce Postgre'
semaphore consumption.)

Ich habe ipcclean laufen lassen aber ohne Erfolg. Die Optionen:

maxusers 128
options SYSVMSG
options SYSVSEM
options SYSVSHM

habe ich in meiner Konfigurationsdatei. Kann mir jemand sagen, wo ich die in
der Hilfe erwähnten (-B bzw. -N) Parameter einstellen kann. ich habe das
Konfigurationsfile durchsucht aber nichts gefunden. Ich bin wirklich auf
Eure Hilfe angewiesen und hoffe, ich habe mich diesmal etwas deutlicher
ausgedrückt als vorgestern.
