Ein freundliche Engländer gab mir den Tip es mal mit FreeBSD 4.0 zu
probieren. Er meinte dazu nur, daß es ggfs am memory-management hängen
würde.

Ob das der Grund war, weiß ich nicht, auf jeden Fall konnte ich jetzt
FreeBSD 4.0 installieren und es läuft soweit (OpenBSD 2.3 und NetBSD 1.4.1
waren ebenfalls negativ).
