Kannst Du denn http://localhost:631 aufrufen (Web-Oberfläche
für die CUPS-Konfiguration)?

Das wäre sinnvoll.

Versuch's ersatzweise mit der web-basierten Konfiguration oder
mit lpadmin (Kommandozeilentool). Wenn diese beiden aber auch
nicht gehen, sitzt das Problem tiefer und CUPS sollte evtl.
entfernt und nochmal neu installiert werden - so dumm das klingt,
manchmal hilft das schon.

Sowas habe ich sogar zu Hause, weil ich die Wunder und Freuden
von CUPS kaum noch ertragen kann. :-)
