Jo, habe ich hier auch, fonts.scale und fonts.dir mit 35
Einträgen je, auch die "Adobe Courier"-Schrift ist drin.

Was mir als garstigem Typograph gleich auffällt: Das sind
Schriten unterschiedlicher Machart!

% file /usr/local/lib/X11/fonts/truetype/visitor.ttf
/usr/local/lib/X11/fonts/truetype/visitor.ttf: TrueType font data

Gut, sowas erwartet man, da ist ttmkfdir (truetype make
font directory) auch richtig. Aber bei den URW-Schriten:

% file /usr/local/lib/X11/fonts/URW/n022003l.pfb
/usr/local/lib/X11/fonts/URW/n022003l.pfb: PostScript Type 1 font program data

Das sind PS-Schriften, da weiß ich nicht, ob ttmkfdir hier
das richtige Werkzeug ist - sind ja _keine_ PS-Schriften.
Aber die .scale- und .desc-Dateien sind ja vorhanden. Hast
Du das Verzeichnis /usr/local/lib/X11/fonts/URW auch in
Deiner xorg.conf drin? Ich weiß nicht, ob man das _muß_,
wäre aber mal einen Versuch wert...

Hier wird vom Programm "fc-cache" und einem Haufen XML
gesprochen, vielleicht ist das ja hier zugehörig?
