Funktionieren eigentlich derart große FAT32-Dateisysteme
mittlerweile ohne Hacks oder hast du MSDOSFS_LARGE im Kernel?

Hast du mit fdisk(8) nachgesehen, wie das Gerät partitioniert ist?
Was sagt:

ls -l /dev/da0*

Außerdem wäre interessant, was dmesg(1) beim Einstecken des iPods
von sich gibt. Normalerweise sollte das Teil als umass(4) erkannt
werden.
