Ich benutze für sowas ssmtp (ist auch in den Ports).
Der sendmail-Pfad ist in cron gehardcodet, d.h. Du mußt
entweder cron neu compilieren (mit dem neuen Pfad), oder
einfach das ssmtp-Binary über /usr/sbin/sendmail drüber-
kopieren.

Andererseits -- Warum nimmst Du dafür nicht einfach das
normale sendmail aus dem Basis-System? Da mußt Du nichtmal
irgendwas konfigurieren. Das Default-submit.cf sorgt da-
für, dass lokal generierte E-Mails an 127.0.0.1 zugestellt
werden.
