LDAP Doku zum Programm schreiben

Hi,

ich würde mir gerne ein kleines C-Programm schreiben, das lookups etc.
in ein LDAP directory macht.
Allerdings kann ich keine aktuelle Doku finden und die Funtionen wie
ldap_init, ldap_simple_bind_s sind ja alle deprecated.

Hat von euch jemand ein Dokument oder Link, HowTo etc. wo beschrieben
ist, wie man eine alte Aplikationen auf die neuen Funktionen portet
oder wie man die neuen Funktionen nutzt?
