CD-ROM-Laufwerk wird nicht erkannt (was Re: CD-Rom wird nicht erkannt)

Oops, ich war im Gedanken schon wieder bei SCSI. Bei ATA
heißt das natürlich "reinit", nicht "rescan" (wenn Du eh in
die manpage geschaut hast, hättest Du eigentlich auch auf
die Idee kommen können).

Wenn's dann damit klappt, dann kann es eigentlich nur ein
Timing-Problem sein. Beim Booten wird ein IDE-Bus-Reset
gemacht, und wenn sich innerhalb einer gewissen Zeit keine
Devices melden, geht der Kernel davon aus, daß da nichts
ist. Vielleicht braucht Dein CD-ROM-Laufwerk einfach zu
lange.

Als work-around kannst Du das "atacontrol reinit 1" in
/etc/rc.local reinschreiben, dann wird es immer automatisch
beim Booten ausgeführt.
