IDE platte: device busy

hallo

bin kein hardware auskenner, wollte aber trotzdem meinem server eine
neue IDE harddisk hinzufügen. jetzt habe ich probleme sie zum laufen zu
bringen (hab sie schon vor einigen tagen eingebaut). nach dem
partitionieren mit fdisk und disklabel (nach dem handbuch) bekomme ich
beim filesystem erstellen die meldung "device busy":

-su-2.05b# newfs -U /dev/ad2s1e
newfs: /dev/ad2s1e: Device busy

jumper stehen auf cable select. hab ich da was grobes falsch gemacht
oder hat die platte was?
