Ich weiß ja nicht, wie das mit Linux ist, aber bei FreeBSD
ist es jedenfalls durchaus selbstverständlich. ;-)

Sowohl FreeBSD 4.11 als auch 5.3 laufen »out of the box«
und ohne Probleme auf dem ME6000, ebenso DragonFly BSD.

Der Gesamtstromverbrauch liegt bei ca. 25 Watt (Fanless-
Prozessor mit 600 MHz, inkl. Festplatte, Gigabit-Netzwerk-
karte und 512 Mbyte RAM), wenn die Kiste überwiegend idle
ist, und bei ca. 35 Watt unter Vollast.
