Ich kenne GAG nicht (warum nimmst Du ausgerechnet den, und
nicht einen gängigeren?) -- falls der eine Möglichkeit hat,
die zu bootende Slice (FDISK-Partition) aktiv zu setzen,
dann tu das. Per default bootet FreeBSD nämlich die Parti-
tion "a" (root-FS) von der aktiven Slice, oder -- als Fall-
back -- von der ersten BSD-Slice (in Deinem Fall ist das
die mit FreeBSD/amd64).

Meines Wissens gibt es am boot-Prompt keine Möglichkeit,
manuell die Slice festzulegen. (Die »2« oben gibt nicht
die Numemr der Slice an, sondern des Devices, also ad2.)
