Dazu drei Anmerkungen:

1. Ändere es besser gleich im Source.

2. »Gefahrlos« ist relativ. Es sollte funktionieren, mo-
    dulo die üblichen Probleme, mit denen man rechnen muß,
    wenn man nicht das C-locale verwendet.

3. Welches Format das »korrekte« ist, hängt davon ab, wel-
    chen Standard man betrachtet, und für welchen Zweck.
    Für Datumsformate, die international erkennbar sein
    sollen, ist natürlich YYYY-MM-TT am besten (das außer-
    dem den Vorteil hat, daß es trivial ASCII-sortierbar
    ist). Davon abgesehen ist aber in Deutschland in »nor-
    malen« Texten nach wie vor T.M.YYYY am gebräuchlichsten
    (so, wie man es auch spricht), und es ist nicht abzuse-
    hen, daß sich das ändert.
