Ist das DRM-Kernelmodul geladen? Der AGP-Treiber? Du mußt
entweder
device agp
device mgadrm
im Kernel haben, oder aber die entsprechenden Module beim
Booten laden:
drm0: <Matrox G400/G450 (AGP)> mem 0xe0800000-0xe0ffffff,0xe1000000-0xe1003fff, 0xe2000000-0xe3ffffff irq 14 at device 0.0 on pci1
info: [drm] AGP at 0xe4000000 64MB
info: [drm] Initialized mga 3.1.0 20021029 on minor 0

Richtig -- das HAL-Modul ist nur für TV-Output relevant. Im
übrigen war zu XFree 4.1-Zeiten schon noch etwas Bastelei in
Sachen DRI angesagt :)
