Nö, getty zeigt nur »Amnesiac« an, wenn kein hostname ge-
setzt ist.

Mit »kurzfristig« meinst Du bis zum nächsten Reboot? Dann
wird offenbar beim Booten kein hostname gesetzt.

Könnte sein. Guck Dir mal an, ab es auf dem Rechner eine
Dateui /etc/rc.d/hostname gibt. Im Zweifelsfall kopiere
die einfach mal aus /usr/src herüber.
