Canon Powershot S230 (aka Ixus v3)

Hallo alle,

ich habe hier eine nagelneue Digicam (siehe Betreff) vor mir liegen und
(natürlich) Probleme sie ans laufen zu bringen.
Zum System:
FreeBSD 4.8 release (am 9.4.2003 von sourcen gebaut)
usb config des kernels:
# USB Stuff

device uhci
device ohci
device scbus
device da
device umass
device ums
device ugen
device uhid
device uscanner

beim reinstecken und aktivieren der kamera gibt er folgendes zurück:
ugen0: at uhub0 port 2 (addr 2) disconnected
ugen0: detached
ugen0: Canon Inc. Canon Digital Camera, rev 1.10/0.01, addr 2

Hm... Leider kein umass.
Was sagt usbdevs -v ?

Nunja, das sagt mir gar nix :-/
Nach ein wenig googlen wurde ich auf s10sh aufmerksam. Laut
groups.google sollte sowas helfen:
(07:46:09 <~>) 0 # s10sh -u -d /dev/ugen0
USB mode enabled
S10sh -- version 0.2.0

Tut es aber scheinbar nicht.

gphoto2 war mein nächster Anlaufpunkt:

schön schön ...

Segmentation fault (core dumped)

weniger schön :-(

Tja, und da häng ich nun.
Hat vielleicht von euch jemand eine Idee ? Eine wesentlich ältere Canon,
auch mit Compact Flash und USB wurde sofort erkannt und von umass als
da0 angelegt. Vielleicht muss man nur die usb ID irgendwo (!) einstellen.
