Lokalisierung von Perl

Ich brech mir noch die Ohren ab - was unter Mandrake-Linux klappt will
mir unter FreeBSD nicht gelingen: lokale Einstellungen für Perl zu
setzen

Wäre dankbar für jeden Tip.
