Lohnt sich das Bauen von OpenOffice?

Hallo allerseits,

ich überlege, den OpenOffice port zu bauen. Lohnt sich das überhaupt?
Ich lese gerade, man braucht um die 4GB für den "Build". Da kann ich
mir ja schon ausrechnen, wie lange es dauern wird. Läuft das Programm
stabil und in annehmbarer Geschwindigkeit oder ist es nur etwas für
"Spezialisten"? Hat jemand Erfahrungen?
