SSH Tunnel: Access--Putty--Postgres

Hallo Leute,

ich habe vor einiger Zeit mal mit Putty eine getunnelte Verbindung zu einem
MySQL-Server hergestellt und konnte mit DB-Tools auf die MySQL-DB zugreifen.
Nun versuche ich das analog mit einer Postgres-DB. In Putty kann ich mich an
der Postgres-DB anmelden, aber der Zugriff mit DB-Tools schlägt fehl:
"Server closed the connection unexpectly. This probably means the server
terminated abnormally before or while processing the request."

Hat jemand 'ne Idee?
