das einfachste ist doch mit /stand/sysinstall, custom, partition,
id ändern, write, /stand/sysinstall verlassen und dasselbe nochmal
mit /stand/sysinstall, custom, label.

In /etc/fstab muss noch 'noauto' hinzugefügt werden.

Ich hab zwar keine zip drives aber mit jaz drives hat das
einwandfrei funktioniert.
