eMailflut durch ausgefallenen NIS Server

Hallo!



Hier ist wohl über's Wochenende der NIS Server ausgefallen und nun ist 


meine Mailbox (auf einem NIS Client) voll mit eMails, hauptsächlich vom 


cron, mit der Zeile:


yp_next: clnt_call: RPC: Timed out



Kann man sowas verhindern?
