Das heißt, das er keine Datenverbindung zustande bekommen hat. Er
wartet auf den String CONNECT vom Modem, bekommt aber ein NO CARRIER.

Entweder hat die Gegenseite sofort wieder aufgelegt, oder Dein Modem
hat irgendwie 'ne Macke.
