RE: SCSI Controllers

FCAL ist Fibre Channel über LWL und Kupfer ( ;-) ), SSA ist das selbe nur
mit rein serieller Leitung, kurz ein serieller SCSi Bus statt Parallel wie
standard. FCAL ist recht flott. Mein RAID hat zwei 100MB FCAL (1GB ist mir
neu...) Uplinks. Sehr flott!
Eine 9GB HD kommt mit so rund 5,5MB/s (ctcm durchschnitt) daher, eine 18GB
hD mit rund 7,4MB/s und eine 36GB HD macht rund 10,1MB/s, jeweils IBM hD's
,mit 7.200 Touren und LVD. Erstere liegt in deinem Preisbereich.
