danke für den Tip, das folgende hat geholfen:
wget
ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/releases/amd64/amd64/10.0-RELEASE/src.txz
tar xJf src.txz -C /
freebsd-update fetch
freebsd-update install
