bei mir trat das Problem auch auf und ich habe es folgendermassen
geloesst:

### /etc/rc.conf
dbus_enable="YES"
hald_enable="YES"
###

sowie

###
/usr/local/etc/rc.d/hald start
/usr/local/etc/rc.d/dbus start
###

Dann habe ich den X-server(Ctrl+Alt+Backspace) neu gestartet und Maus
und Tastatur waren funktionsfaehig.
