Zugriffsrechte und SANE/scanimage

Hallo,

mein Scanner wird nur erkannt, wenn ich als "root" frage. Als normaler
Nutzer sehe ich

  $ scanimage -L

  No scanners were identified. If you were expecting something different,
  check that the scanner is plugged in, turned on and detected by the
  sane-find-scanner tool (if appropriate). Please read the documentation
  which came with this software (README, FAQ, manpages).

Ich bin zuletzt mit roher Gewalt vorgegangen und habe in /etc/devfs.conf
reingeschrieben:

  perm * 0666

Hat nichts geholfen. Mit "truss" und "diff" habe ich die Stelle gesucht,
an der sich die Wege scheiden. Ich sehe:

root:
  open("/dev/ugen0.2",O_RDWR,00) ERR#6 'Device not configured'
  open("/dev/ugen0.2",O_WRONLY,00) = 6 (0x6)
normaler Nutzer:
  open("/dev/ugen0.2",O_RDWR,00) ERR#13 'Permission denied'

Leider weigert sich devfs, Schreibrecht für Gruppe/Other einzuräumen bei
"/dev/ugen0.2".

Was ist da los?
