nach buildkernel kein x mehr

Hallo,

ich habe heute den Kern neu gebaut (das ging des öfteren ohne Probleme)
und danach startet mein X nur noch mit 640x480 Auflösung statt mit 1024x....
Beim start von x kommt folgender Fehler:
(EE) GARTInit: Unable to open /dev/agpgart (No such file or directory)

Wenn ich vor dem Update ein dmesg|grep agp gemacht habe

agp0: <Intel 82855GME (855GME GMCH) SVGA controller> port 0xc000-0xc007 mem 0xfaf80000-0xfaffffff,0xf0000000-0xf7ffffff irq 11 at device 2.0 on pci0
agp0: detected 892k stolen memory
agp0: aperture size is 128M

Und jetzt werden mir keine Zeilen mehr gegrept,das Device is einfach
nciht mehr da...obwohl ich im Kernel das device agp mit angegeben habe.
Ich versteh das nicht...
