Hi all,
I'm just running into big troubles migrating from Linux to FreeBSD
5.2.1;
while trying to set up Sendmail/Cyrus, I am facing multiple problems:
a) cyradm permanently segfaults
b) cyrus won't allow imap/pop access:
it doesn't accept my credentials, saslauthd is running,
accounts have been added via saslpasswd2
c) worst of all: sendmail can't deliver mails to cyrus
because of a permission problem:
the socket dir /var/imap/socket has the following perms:
-rwxr-xr-x 1 cyrus mail 0 Jun 22 18:55 imap-0.lock
-rwxr-xr-x 1 cyrus mail 0 Jun 22 18:55 imap.lock
-rwxr-xr-x 1 cyrus mail 0 Jun 22 18:55 imaps-0.lock
-rwxr-xr-x 1 cyrus mail 0 Jun 22 18:55 imaps.lock
srwxrwxrwx 1 root mail 0 Jun 22 19:34 lmtp
-rwxr-xr-x 1 cyrus mail 0 Jun 22 19:12 lmtpunix-0.lock
-rwxr-xr-x 1 cyrus mail 0 Jun 22 18:55 pop3-0.lock
-rwxr-xr-x 1 cyrus mail 0 Jun 22 18:55 pop3.lock
-rwxr-xr-x 1 cyrus mail 0 Jun 22 18:55 pop3s.lock
-rwxr-xr-x 1 cyrus mail 0 Jun 22 18:55 sieve.lock
Sendmail apparently can't talk to cyrus, so I'm getting i/o errors;
chmod'ing permissions to 775 gives me "group writable directory"
problems, even having sendmail deliver mails as cyrus (via
RUN_AS_USER in submit.mc) won't do it - so I'm completely busted.
Any hints appreciated,
thanks a lot in advance,
Oliver
