das Problem hatte ich auch mit xfce4 und einem FreeBSD 5.1
Es scheint am NFS mount von FreeBSD zu liegen. Mit NetBSD als
Client ist das Problem nicht aufgetreten. Ein Workaround
waer z.B. das ~/.xfce4 Verzeichnis mit Symlink woanders auf
die lokale Platte zu legen.
