/dev/fd0 ist ein Device-Node, kein Verzeichnis. Wenn man
irgendwas in /dev anlegen will, aber man weiß nicht wie,
dann hilft meistens schon ein flüchtiger Blick in das
MAKEDEV-Skript. Das Ding hat sogar 'ne manpage.

# cd /dev; sh MAKEDEV fd0

Das Low-Level-Formatieren (d.h. das Schreiben der Sektor-
Struktur) kannst Du mit »fdformat« machen, z.B.:

# fdformat -f 1440 /dev/fd0

Danach mußt Du noch ein Dateisystem darauf anlegen (es sei
denn, Dir genügt das Raw-Device, um etwa ein tar-File
draufzuschreiben). Je nachdem, was Du haben willst, kannst
Du das dann mit »newfs« oder »newfs_msdos« machen.

Alle genannten Kommandos haben eine manpage.
